“Ready, Fire, Aim.”
Michael Masterson

You answer only to the person in the mirror.

Our trigger-happy society often rationalizes the truth in its quest for instant gratification.
The price of convenience is zip on the front end but often incurs costly consequences on the back end.

No time like now to level with yourself.

How do you feel about your path to optimum wellness and performance?
Transcending health, performance, and potential is an inside-out proposition.

To thrive on the wellness continuum requires authenticity.

The current medical paradigm is not designed for anyone interested in optimal health. It even fails miserably as a system to treat symptoms. Optimal health – like improved sport performance – is our responsibility.

When you mindfully honor your body – it will honor you in life and sport.
It is at this stage one begins to realize the difference between effort and struggle.

“If you could have done it by yourself, you probably would have done it by now.”
Pat Williams

What did you do today to propel your health, performance, or potential closer to its zenith?
It is time to abandon your comfort zone.

It is imperative we take responsibility for our choices. Owning every thought, feeling, action, and result in our lives is the key to our wellness.

There are countess examples of people tolerating shit on a daily basis. Humans will not change any aspect of their lives until it becomes intolerable. We are adept at creating excuses for tolerating our circumstances.

Following represents a simple yet effective model to build your wellness foundation. It provides a peek at your satisfaction level in various areas of your life – often with startling results! Utopia means a “10” in each dimension.

If your vocation sucks you need to remember you chose it – and you chose to stick with it. Nobody chooses health challenges but one does choose a sedentary lifestyle, poor diet, and the rest of it to catalyze chronic and degenerative diseases.

You determine your level of satisfaction in each area of your life. More than half of what affects your health is your chosen lifestyle. Your performance and your potential will deteriorate therefrom.

Rank your level of satisfaction in each dimension of wellness and assess any ruts in your life. The higher you rank on each scale the more fulfilled you are in said dimension. The need for honesty cannot be underestimated.

The process of changing human behavior is daunting. Take charge of your wellness today because the link between tending to each dimension of wellness and the quality of your life is undeniable.

“The hardest part about directing is getting out of the car.”
Stanley Kubrick

Challenge yourself to experience the paradoxical freedom via your power of choice. You will never rise about what you tolerate. Assess and modify unproductive environmental stimuli you are allowing to thwart your growth. Ditch toxic relationships. Make decisions centered in breath and postural awareness not emotions.

You can sit on your hands, live in fear, and bitch about your circumstances, or you can boldly take action to improve your quality of life and help others during your growth. Make today when you begin directing the film of your life.

Commit to lifestyle changes to transcend your health, performance, and potential.
Sooner than later you will thank the person in the mirror.

May your Sadhana thrive.
